You don't need to know every program detail. If you answer "yes" to any of these, there's a strong chance you're eligible for meaningful rebates.
Switching from an older gas furnace to a high-efficiency model or a heat pump is one of the most common rebate-qualifying upgrades. Federal and provincial programs both offer substantial incentives for heating system replacements, especially when moving to electric or hybrid heat pump technology.
Older equipment typically has much lower efficiency ratings than modern equivalents. The bigger the efficiency jump between your current system and the replacement, the larger your rebate tends to be. Equipment manufactured before 2015 almost always qualifies for some level of incentive when replaced.
Rebate programs are specifically designed to encourage upgrades that reduce energy consumption. If your heating or cooling bills feel higher than they should be, that's often a sign your equipment is working harder than necessary. The same upgrades that cut your monthly costs are the ones that qualify for the biggest rebates.
An EnerGuide home energy audit is required for the largest rebate programs (Greener Homes and Enbridge HER). If you've already had one done, you're partway through the process. If not, we can help you schedule one. The audit itself is partially subsidized and often reveals the most cost-effective upgrades for your specific home.
